Who we are

My Escape With Jen is a sole-proprietor spa owned and operated by Jen Cote in Temiskaming Shores, Ontario, Canada. You can reach us at info@myesc.ca or call TEXT (705) 948-2683.

What we collect

• Contact form: your name, email address, and the message you send.
• Email signup: your email address and a record of the consent you gave, including the date and time.
• Membership waitlist: your email address, optional name, and a record of the consent you gave, including the date and time.
• Chat widget: the messages you type are sent to our AI assistant (powered by Anthropic) to generate a response. We do not store chat transcripts on our servers.
• Bookings:appointment details you provide are handled by our booking partner, Square Appointments. Square's privacy terms apply there.

How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry or message.
• To send you the content you asked for (for example, the free skincare guide) if you opt in.
• To add you to the Let's Glow membership waitlist when you request it, to send a confirmation email, and to contact you if a membership spot becomes available.
• If you check the marketing consent box, to send occasional emails about services, seasonal skincare tips, promotions, and spa news.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Canadian Anti-Spam Law (CASL)

We follow CASL. We will only send you marketing emails if you have given express consent by checking the marketing box on a form on this website. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link and our business name and contact address.

You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any email, or by emailing us at info@myesc.ca.

Who helps us run this site

We use trusted service providers to deliver this website:

• Vercel: website hosting.
• Resend: email delivery for notifications and signups.
• Anthropic: AI powering the chat assistant.
• Square Appointments: online booking.

These providers may process data on servers outside Canada (primarily the United States) in order to deliver their service to us.

How long we keep your information

We keep contact form messages and signup records for as long as is reasonably needed to respond to you, maintain proof of consent, and comply with Canadian record-keeping requirements. You can ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing info@myesc.ca.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and Ontario equivalents) you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your information we'll update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top.
